FloodWatch is the Official Mobile App of Central Water Commission, Ministry of Jal Shakti, Govt. of India. It is designed to provide real-time flood situation and flood forecasts. Utilizing advanced technologies such as satellite data analysis, mathematical modeling, and real-time monitoring, FloodWatch ensures accurate and timely flood forecasts for up to 7 days. With a user-friendly interface, the app offers essential information about flood-prone areas, potential risks, and recommended actions to minimize risk to life. FloodWatch is available in both English and Hindi languages, making it accessible to a wider audience.
Stay updated with the latest flood situation across the country with real-time flood monitoring based on near real-time river flow data from various sources. Access CWC flood forecasts for the next 7 days either by selecting specific states or directly from the interactive map. By entering your location, you can receive current flood situations, forecasts, and risk assessments tailored to your area. The app provides explicit flood forecast graphs, along with audio and readable flood summaries for specific locations. With the ability to easily navigate the map, users can assess flood forecasts in any area.
FloodWatch also offers emergency preparedness guidelines to civil and disaster management authorities, helping them plan flood preparedness for citizens and their movable properties during flood events. Constructive feedback is welcome from all users as the app continues to be developed in-house by officials of Central Water Commission.
